Calverley Service Experts Raise Money for Families of Dallas Officers Killed in Shooting

October 27, 2016

Three days after America celebrated Independence Day, a peaceful Black Lives Matter-organized protest was coming to an end when shots resonated in Dallas. Mayhem ensued and by the end of the night, nine Dallas officers were hurt and five lost their lives.

Within days, Dallas business owners and community leaders joined forces to raise funds for the police officers and their relatives. Dos Jefes, a Latin-Asian tapas restaurant, hosted “Dine for Dallas Blue” and all of the proceeds of the dinner and silent auction they held were given to the fallen and injured officers and their relatives.

General Manager Tony Polendo of Calvlery Service Experts was more than honored to help.

“I was out for my birthday dinner less than a mile away from the horror that occurred that evening,” Polendo said. “That night struck a chord for me. As a military veteran, I have absolute respect for any individual who wears a uniform in an effort to protect and serve their community.”

“When my friend reached out to ask if we would support this great cause by merely attending, I wanted to go beyond and not only attend, but donate our time and effort as well.”

Tony and the Calverley Service Experts team partnered with Lennox to auction off a new HVAC system with free installation at the Dine for Dallas Blue event. Check out the pictures below of the installation.

“I am both honored and appreciative for the opportunity to have participated in such a worthwhile event,” Polendo said.

From your family at Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning, we are truly sorry for the loss of the Dallas Police Department and for the family and friends of Lorne Ahrens, Michael Krol, Michael J. Smith, Brent Thompson, and Patrick Zamarripa.
